March Madness!

  1. Weight-lift (full body split) 6x/week
    • I'll be following a modified version of this.
  2. Eat clean every meal 6 days/week
    • So many definitions of "clean eating".  My definition (which I got from a quote somewhere but can't remember who said it) is pretty simple: eat things that are ingredients, not things that have ingredients.  
    • Whole foods, no processed stuff (except for my protein supplements)
    • Good source of info: 100 Days of Real Food
  3. 1500 - 1700 average calories/week
    • upping the calories to support my training
  4. Plan my weekly meals every Sunday
    • By sticking to this goal, it should take care of goal #2 and #3… which will then take care of goal #5.  We all know (or should know by now) that nutrition plays 80% of the role in weight-loss.
  5. Lose 4 lbs. or 2% body fat by the end of the month

You can do it!
I started eating clean about a month ago, because my sweet tooth was getting out of control.
I thought it would be hard, especially while out to dinner or on weekends, but it's not! It takes some planning and time (food prep) but it's so worth it!

Thanks very much for the links w/ more info about clean eating. I'm am so on board with this! This is precisely the kind of info and motivation I need to make the lifestyle/eating changes I need to make (rather than merely a short term diet to lose lbs.) I'll need to star this slowly, or risk starving to death, I'm afraid. :)

Hey Annie! Thanks for the tag in your "My 11" post! I'm almost done hehe.

Your workout schedule for March looks amazing... I think I better UP my workout schedule once my ankle gets better, especially with the strength training. I reeally really need to get in better shape for my upcoming badminton competition in mid April!

Also, I woke up this morning at 7:30 instead of 5am, and thought, you know what? Next weekend - Challenge is ON! It's just what I need. I'll be inviting a few more people to join, friends in a Forum for bloggers (through 12WBT.com) so look out for more competition!
