With three days off last week (reason found here), there wasn't any way I was gonna hit my weight-training and cardio goals. Calories still need to be brought under control and I'm not gonna lie... it's gonna be T.O.U.G.H. This weekend I have a birthday party to attend and next week I have a dinner on Tuesday and another party on Saturday. Time to practice my "no thank you" muscle.
Looking back at my calendar goals for the last several months, I've noticed that I'm a little backwards. Instead of getting pumped and excited that it's the beginning of a new month, I kinda just do my thing.
When half the month passes and I realize I didn't do a good job at doing my thing, I go all out for the last half of the month and end the month AWESOME (sometimes...).

So here's hoping that the last two weeks of April on my calendar have a little less red on them.

I LOVE your calendar! I have a similar attitude with a week: beginning is meh, middle picks up on exercise, and weekend I start adding more routines. Whatever works though!
You've got lots of social outings, but being so close to 50 mark (me too) will hopefully give you extra motivation to resist going overboard. Please share your strategies and results, ok?
Ahh, those pesky social gatherings. Hermits have it made, I tell ya.
I like the "no thank you" muscle. That's exactly what it feels like. I'd like to see my no thank you muscle strengthen along with my push up count. Maybe I'll start associating the 2 in my mind.
You can do great at the parties and dinner gathering. Budget your calories and enjoy yourself somewhat, but pre-plan how much to let loose and when to flex your muscle. You are in control! Won't it be great to leave these events psyched to report on how well you did?
I loooooove the calendar!!
You are so amazing with your planning. I find it very inspiring!
Ha! I'm a hermit but caring for my I'll father just adds as much as social gatherings :) you are so close to your mark! That's awesome!

I always love your attitude. It's a great undertone for all of your goals.

Of course I focused in on your cute color-coded calendar! I need to make one of those, maybe at work today?
I love your calendar! Hope the second half of April is awesome!
