SERIOUSLY?!

Seriously.... SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! 
I'm so disgusted with myself... not even a great new low weight is enough motivation for me to stick to plan!  Right before I wrote this, I literally just finished off some of these:


I'm not even a sweets kinda person but knowing I can't have these makes me want them EVEN MORE!!!  Total I had:
a snickers
a handful of M&M's
a chocolate almond truffle
a white chocolate chip cookie
... and I want to go back for more!

Seriously... why is it that if we can't have it, 
it makes us want it even more?

Well I guess now's a good time to tell you that when I say "can't have it", I mean can't have it or I blow my entire weight-loss plan right now.  Currently I'm on a very strict 30-day nutrition plan that can/will totally back-fire if you stray off protocol and guess what... I just went off protocol.  Damn it!

Hey I AM the SAME WAY! Time for a U turn!! At least it is close to bedtime and tomorrow is a new day with new mealtimes! You will do great after this U-Turn and you'll have a great weekend!

Oh I am the exact same as well! I have just started weight watchers and I think why I am doing well is because I CAN have the junk if I want to - except that I am choosing not to becauseit costs to much in points!

Yeah, oh well. Shit happens. Just do an extra 20 min of cardio tomorrow. Don't beat yourself up over it, and get on with it. You're strong and you were probably just so hungry from all the work you're putting into this weight loss challenge - mentally and physically! It's okay to make mistakes, it's how we recover that matters. How and how quickly. Jump back on RIGHT NOW darlin, cuz I know you're a fighter.

And prepare for cravings next time - have a low cal alternative ready and waiting... I have an excellent recipe for low cal tirimisu, a favourite of mine. What's your's?

PLUS, you have your body working against you. Remember - you just lost a lot of weight (yes, I'm talking about those 3 lbs, which is an awful lot for you!) and your body is trying to resist. I know my body resists losing weight, and the first 5-10 lbs I lose, I am certain to have extra strong cravings that take more strength than usual to overcome. You can resist Annie.

I get how the whole you mess up once, you gotta start ALL over again. My nutrition plan is just like that. I get thrown off.... and BAM! BUT... I am trying to combat this, but allowing myself to get thrown off once a week on purpose. I have NO CLUE if that will help or backfire. Time will tell.

It seems that sugar addiction is a common thread among more than a few bloggers out there...I'm sure giving it up would be a challenge, but several are and seemingly having a much easier time as a result.

You can conquer anything.

Definition of Insanity: Trying the same things expecting different results.

If you know you react in a particular way to a particular stimulus and your reaction is unfavorable....eliminate or change the stimulus to inspire a different reaction.

Just a thought. ;)

Oh and don't be so damn hard on yourself...shit happens. Take care of yourself.

You can turn this around RIGHT NOW, and it will be a small bip in the grand scheme of things.

Just make sure that you have gotten rid of the rest of the stash, so there's nothing to go back to if you feel tempted to do it again. You can't eat what's not there!

Would you feel better if I told you that I messed up my awesome results lately by eating about 0.5 litres a day of ice cream, an egg and bacon sandwich, and 3 beers per day while on vacation? Good thing I took my consistency photos the first day!
Wipe the slate clean and start back today.

Tomorrow is another day, past is past don't beat yourself up too much. I got rid of all my junk when I started the challenge, yesterday I went shopping and got a few things to help those cravings like 100 cal cookie packs, weight watchers 2 bite cakes and pretzels. I've found in the past having these around help satisfy cravings for sweets or salty when I'm feeling particularly low willed. :)

Excuse me Kyle Gershman, I thought I heard you say "give up sugar"....but no...surely no one in their right mind would do such a thing?!?! ha ha

But really..I'm definintely one of those "fellow bloggers that struggles with sugar addiction". Whew...addiction. strong word. sadly, right on.

Anyway Annie, like your other commentors have said...it sucks that you gave in and ate all that, yes. But that's not the true test of your willpower and strength. The true test is to see if you keep eating like this because you had a little trip-up or if you don't let this one little speed bump slow down your progress. So many times we wanna just say "aw to heck with it" and just keep on screwing up. But that is where the real weakness is. A strong woman, like you and I, we know better than to let one little mess up ruin our whole day or week or month. Just like Annalisa said..so you just do an extra 20 min. of cardio tomorrow and the rest is history. 132 is awesome, by the way. You're beating me by 4 pounds now! AUGH! What's your goal? Mine is 125 by Memorial Day but I don't think I'm off to a very great start. Guess it's time to put some of my "wisdom" into practice! :o)

You a brave woman for tackling such a harsh nutrition program. I'd be riding the mental illness train to crazville. Forgive, forget, and make the next thing you eat COUNT.

Annie, my big weakness is chocolate... especially M&M's. Don't tell anyone, but I give in to my weakness sometimes too.

I did not see anything disparaging in Kyle's remark. It's not unheard of for people to give up refined sugar completely. Sugar addiction IS really common!! Maybe the most common addiction there is! Giving in to the sweet stuff is the undoing of so many good intentions! We fight it the best we can!!! Every day is a new opportunity!
