Slowly but surely... getting back on track, people!
BTW, it's four more days till CLX and the X! I'm so excited!
And on another note, I may not be saying 'good-bye' to my PT just yet... I'm thinking of buying more sessions and seeing him once a week for strictly plyo workouts. Right now we do about 50-50 plyo and strength but if I'm gonna do strength on my own, my one day with my trainer can be just plyo! P90X has a great plyo dvd, but my PT has so many different types of exercises it's different everyday and I love that! Plus the added watchfullness of a 'professional' making sure my form/landing is on-point is super important for me. I have a bad right ankle due to multiple ankle injuries when I played basketball in high school so having my PT there makes me a lot more confident to go all out for the exercises.
On the other hand, shelling out another $1200+ for sessions is a little crazy right now. I have a trip to Moloka'i at the end of the month, Vegas in February AND March, plus Christmas shopping to take care of.
But we'll see. I gotta decide by this Friday because that's the last session I have for this round.
What to do?
What to do?
What to do?

Maybe you could see if your PT is offer any holiday deals that you could take advantage of? I loooove Vegas. I usually to go at least around my bday (in Feb) but I'll try to go a few times a year since it's only a 3-hour drive from where I live.
I LOVE Vegas. Before kids, I use to go more often. I so want to go back!!! =) And it's "only" a 4 hour drive for me.
I'm right there with you starting the challenge in 4 days (ok 5 for me since I start on Monday). We can do it!!! Good luck with the PT thing. Sorry I have no wisdom. My one try at a PT was a total waste so I think it's a waste of money but if you've found a good one - sticking with him isn't such a bad thing.
$1,200? wowsers! Can you get a half package? Do whatever you feel will enable you to achieve your goals. Are there other things that you could do that are exciting other than plyos in order to save the money?
Wow, that is steep. My gym always tries to push the personal trainers on ya but it boils down to like $50 a session and you must pay for 6 at a time. Your can spread your six out anyway you want. I thought of getting one later to spot me and guide me with some free weight work like bench presses and bar bell squats. Anyway, it sure is expensive where you live! Whew!
When I lost 100 pounds the first time, I utilized a PT. It was awesome and addictive. I just wish I had my mind right so that I didn't regain some of the weight.
I won't make that investment again until I'm ready to fully realize and secure the benefits.
Congrats on your loss this week!
oh boy that is such a tough decision. Is there anything else you can cut back on? Maybe go to every other week?
Are you from Molokai?
Thank you so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it. I also really enjoyed your blog especially because you're really witty and sharp. I loved the one about "a calorie is a calorie is a calorie" because you're totally right.
Keep up with the witty posts! I love them!!
SO excited for you and the challenge! I was THIS close to committing to give P90X another whirl, but I think I better hold off. I WILL do it though :) Wishing you the best with your challenge, and I know you will succeed!
Oh, and thanks a million for nominating me for the Team Spirit Award! That makes me SMILE soooo big! You're the sweetest!!!!!!!
